A win is a win is a win. The Bulls survived a Kevin Martin fourth quarter blitz to beat the Kings 99-94 at the United Center. Martin went off in the final quarter finishing with a game high 29.

Derrick Rose refused to let the Kings get comfortable as he took control int he second quarter on strong moves to the bucket. Rose with a 16 point 8 assists game. Ben Gordon with 24 (11-11 FT) and Drew Gooden returned from missing the past eight games recording a double-double of 18 points 10 rebounds.

Elsewhere in the NBA. The Knicks beat Boston a few days ago but lost to OKC at the Ford Center as Kevin Durant had a double-double. Life in the NBA is indeed strange. Don’t believe me? Ask Doc Rivers. Since winning nineteen straight the Celtics have lost five of their last seven as the Bobcats hung a 114-106 OT loss on Boston.

Caron Butler scored all of his 29 points in the second half but Orlando beat the Wiz by 9. Washington falls to 7-26.

Houston, we have a problem. That’s five straight losses. Philly takes care of business at home.

Break up the T-Wolves. A three game win streak for Minnesota. Randy Foye and company beat O.J. Mayo and the Grizz.

The Clippers suited up only eight players and gave Dallas all they could handle but Dirk scored 34 in a Mavs win.

Kobe went off. David West had a monster game . Hornets over the Lakers.

Melo out for three weeks with a busted hand.

Forget about the rumored Dallas-Raps deal sending Andrea Bargnani to the Mavs for Josh Howard. Never discussed and won’t happen. Period.

Are you flat out kidding me? The new defensive coordinator at Washington— that’s right ,Washington will earn $700-thousand a year. I’m not talking Washington Redskins. I’m talking about the UNIVERSITY of Washington. Hey, I know what a cover two is! I love Bill Wennington, he’s a great partner but for 700-000 thousand I’ll gladly be an assistant coach which makes me wonder what an assistant head coach or a OC or DC at a MAJOR big time program gets. Hmmm….

Not sure what’s going on at Boston College but I can tell you that Jeff Jagodzinski can flat out coach. A major loss if he’s shown the door.

Nice win for the Blackhawks. You know the Coyotes are in trouble when their best player is their coach who hasn’t played in ten years.

Bad loss for the Ball State Cardinals in a bowl game whose name I can’t even remember. Thank goodness. One more bowl game and at this point I don’t care who wins the Oklahoma vs. Florida game. Honestly. I’m giving the national title to Utah. Of course, I don’t have a vote.
