Turnovers, Bibby send Bulls to third straight loss

by

Jan 20

Turnovers have plagued the Bulls the past two games and it has cost them opportunities to win much needed Eastern Conference games.

In NY it was 17 turnovers leading to 24 Knicks’ points. On Tuesday at the United Center the Hawks took advantage of 18 Bulls mistakes leading to 22 Atlanta points.

Michael Bibby was outstanding with 31. Za Za Pachulia, yes that Za Za Pachulia scored a season high 18. The Hawks starters stepped up with Horford and Williams out of the lineup. The Bulls played without Drew Gooden (ankle, groin). Ben Gordon scored a team high 21. Another tough loss but the beauty of the NBA is there’s always another game around the corner. The Bulls need to make plays, smart plays. The effort is there but the execution is not.

The Bulls have two days to prepare for Toronto and then leave for two weeks.

Audio recap:

Elsewhere in the NBA… The Spurs blasted the Pacers as Duncan and Ginobili combined for 53 points.

Got to love those Kings… they love to give… points that is. 118 to Denver in a Nuggets win.

Paul Milsap is having a nasty year. 28 points and 15 rebounds as the Jazz held off Minnesota. Carlos who?

I’ll check in later. Always a pleasure. cswirsky@bulls.com
