Playoff intensity here in Charlotte? Big game for Bulls and Bobcats.
Posted on Mar 2
Bulls and Bobcats tonight and this is a VERY important game for both teams tonight. Yes, the Bobcats are talking playoffs! (You have my permission to insert the infamous Jim Mora line here).
The Bobcats have won three straight coming off a 3-2 west coast swing. Okafor, Diaw, Bell and Felton are playing well under Larry Brown. The Bobcats beat the Bulls here in Charlotte December 16th in OT. Since the two teams meet only three times it’s important the Bulls grab this game or they’ll lose a potential tie breaker with Charlotte in the event the two teams tie for a playoff seed.
Luol Deng and Tim Thomas are listed day to day and it remains to be seen whether either one will play tonight.
Quick NBA notes…
Congrats to the 15-45 Thunder on their victory over the Mavs. Westbrook with a triple-double.
Wish I could have seen the Cavs-Heat game with a shootout between James and Wade in a Cleveland win.
Philly falls at home to the Hornets as the 76ers drop to a game under .500.
Atlanta won in Washington. I still can’t believe the Bulls lost to the Wiz on Friday but one has to turn the page.
Just my opinion but I think the Rookie of the Year award is down to Derrick Rose, Brook Lopez or O.J. Mayo. Russell Westbrook is flat out tough.
It will be interesting to see where Joe Smith and Drew Gooden land.
We pulled in to Charlotte and not experienced cold weather but snow. Not sure how you feel , like we have control over it, but I’ve had enough of winter.
I’m in my hotel room here in Charlotte watching “The Bachelor.” It’s so bad-it’s good.
Foir the best NFL coverage you have to enjoy reading Peter King (proud Ohio U. alum) every Monday on si.com. Ray Lewis really overplayed his hand.
If Jay Curtler is available the Bears need to step up and go for it.
