Gordon still undecided; Villanueva out for Detroit

When Ben Gordon called his status for Wednesday’s Bulls vs. Pistons matchup at the United Center a game-time decision, he apparently meant it.

Gordon was on the floor during pre-game for his typical workout, but declined to speak to the media prior to tip-off as to whether or not he’ll play. If Gordon does see action, it will be off Detroit’s bench.

We do know Charlie Villanueva (nasal fracture) won’t go for the 6-11 Detroit Pistons. Villanueva suffered from a headache and sinuses Wednesday morning and did not participate in the team’s shootaround at the United Center. He was fitted with a protective mask on Tuesday and said he did not expect it to bother him too much.

He got some advice from teammate Richard Hamilton (out with a right ankle sprain) about wearing the mask, as Hamilton has suffered three broken noses.

“He said it was going to take some time to get used to,” said Villanueva, who roomed with the Bulls’ Luol Deng while the two attended Blair Academy during high school in New Jersey. “I think I’ll be fine. Hopefully, I’ll only wear it for about three weeks.”
