The NBA announced on Tuesday that Golden State Warriors guard Anthony Morrow will replace Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose on the sophomore roster for the 2010 T-Mobile Rookie Challenge & Youth Jam, to be played Friday, February 12 at American Airlines Center in Dallas.

As reported earlier in the day by Sam Smith, Rose was excused from the T-Mobile Rookie Challenge & Youth Jam in consideration of being named to the Eastern Conference roster for the 2010 NBA All-Star Game and his participation as defending champion in the Taco Bell Skills Challenge on All-Star Saturday Night.

Morrow, in his second season out of Georgia Tech, is averaging 11.5 points and 3.6 rebounds in 36 games for the Warriors.

Bulls rookie forward Taj Gibson will still compete in the T-Mobile Rookie Challenge & Youth Jam, which will be televised live nationally on TNT at 9 p.m. ET and also will be broadcast live on ESPN Radio, while NBA.com will make live audio available to fans in multiple languages.
