It turns out that may have been the problem all season for the Bulls with the questions about Vinny Del Negro’s coaching status, Tyrus Thomas’ commitment, John Salmons’ position, Luol’s Deng’s role, the playing rotation, minutes, offense and depth.
The Bulls just needed to make shots.
Why didn’t someone think of that?
And, oh did they make them Monday in …

Why didn’t the Bulls think of this before: Forget Derrick Rose. Run the offense through Joakim Noah. Hey, maybe the Bulls finally have found that closer.
“I don’t think that’s what it’s about,” Noah said Saturday after scoring 20 points, one below his career high, to lead the Bulls to a 110-96 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. “I’m just happy to …

In the end, the Bulls just didn’t have quite enough in the battle of the 2007 and 2008 draft classes.
No. 2 pick from 2007 Kevin Durant had 25 points and eight rebounds and No. 4 pick from 2008 Russell Westbrook had 29 points, seven rebounds and six assists while No. 9 pick from 2007 Joakim Noah had 14 points …

The clock is ticking for Vinny Del Negro and the Bulls.
Because it’s time.
The team will be as close to completely healthy as it has been all season Saturday when the New Orleans Hornets are at the United Center with Tyrus Thomas expected to return from a fractured left arm.
Del Negro seems done with worrying about feelings as …

You have to hope what happened Tuesday in a hustling, determined Bulls effort, in the end a 96-87 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers and Kobe Bryant’s 42 points, doesn’t become a habit.
Not the playing hard and competing, finally.
The being satisfied with it.
“We’ve just got to learn from this one and get better, improve,” said Joakim Noah, …

The last time I remember the Bulls losing like this at home–110-78 to Toronto in a game that wasn’t that close–was also on a Saturday night, just about two years ago when the Houston Rockets dominated an indifferent Bulls team. Two days later coach Scott Skiles was fired.
I don’t expect Bulls coach Vinny Del Negro to be fired, especially …

LeBron James made a big fuss recently with his suggestion of a homage to Michael Jordan by asking that the league have all teams permanently retire Jordan’s No. 23.
But in the Cavs 101-87 victory over the Bulls Friday, James insulted what Jordan stood for as a competitor and basketball player and demonstrated why James, at least, doesn’t even deserve …

The obvious story when the Bulls go to Milwaukee Monday to play the Bucks is the matchup of the 2009 Rookie of the Year, the Bulls Derrick Rose, and the early favorite for the 2010 Rookie of the Year, Brandon Jennings.
After exploding into the NBA last season, Rose has slowed this season after missing most of training camp with …

The Bulls played the Utah Jazz Thursday on Thanksgiving, so they seemed to accept the occasion as the turkeys with the Jazz as the hosts. That’s right. The Bulls got carved up badly in this one, mashed like a potato, creamed like corn, had the stuffing knocked out of them, squashed like a butternut and whipped like cream.
I know. …

First let me say I have not heard that coach Vinny Del Negro has any intention of changing the Bulls starting lineup. And maybe you wouldn’t want to, anyway, because the Bulls problem wasn’t in the first quarter Saturday when they outscored the Denver Nuggets 27-14 to open the game.
But when you have been blown out in consecutive games …
